5 New Year's Eve Cocktails to Try

It’s no secret that this New Year’s is going to be very different from any other one we’ve experienced, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t celebrate at home!  Check out these five delicious and festive cocktails to try out this New Year’s Eve.  

The Happy New Year Cocktail

This is a classic!  It’s super easy to make and very refreshing.  We found this delicious recipe at thespruceeats.com


– 1 1/2 ounces of brandy

– 3/4 ounce of ruby port

– 3/4 ounce orange juice

– 4 ounces of champagne


Pour the brandy, ruby port, and orange juice into a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake well and then strain into a champagne flute.  Fill the remainder of the glass with champagne.  This recipe yields one cocktail.

New Year's Rum Berry Cocktail

This beautiful and delicious cocktail is a lovely bright cocktail to serve!  Thank you to KitchenSanctuary for posting.  This recipe will serve 4-6 servings.


– 90 ml spiced rum

– 510 ml pomegranate juice

– 30 ml Cointreau

– 240 ml spiced ginger beer

– 250 g frozen mixed berries

– 90 g fresh raspberries


Put the spiced rum, pomegranate juice, Cointreau and ginger beer into a large jug. Take 4-6 cocktail glasses and and fill them with frozen berries.  Pour the cocktail over the mix over the mixed berries in each glass and then add some fresh raspberries to top.

Shimmery Gold Cocktail

This cocktail is my personal favorite just because of how beautiful it is.  Thank you to TheFlavorBender for posting this delicious recipe!  This recipe will serve 6 cocktails.


– 2/3 cup St-Germain liqueur

– 1/3 cup elderflower cordial

– 1 bottle of champagne

– 1/4 tsp of gold luster dust

– 1/3 cup vodka


Mix the St-Germain liqueur with the gold luster dust.  Then add in the vodka and elderflower cordial.  Pour into 6 cocktail glasses and then top with the champagne.

Gin Champagne Cocktail

This cocktail is perfect for gin lovers!  Thank you to GastronomBlog for posting.  This recipe will serve one cocktail.


– 2 oz gin

– 0.50 oz raspberry simple syrup

– 0.25 oz rose cordial

– 0.75 oz lemon juice

– 3 oz rose champagne


Put the gin, simple syrup, rose cordial, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake and then pour into a cocktail glass and top with champagne.

New Year's Sparkler

This delicious and refreshing cocktail was posted by Liquor.com and serves one cocktail.  


– 1 ounce berry-flavored vodka

– 1 1/2 oz pomegranate juice

– 3 1/2 oz champagne


Add the vodka and pomegranate juice into a champagne flute and top with champagne – voila!
