5 Cocktails to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and although it might not look the same it has in recent years, there’s no reason you can’t have a little at-home celebrating with some festive cocktails!  Check out these five delicious drinks to test out!

Shamrock Sour Cocktail

This delicious drink is brought to you by Pizzazzerie.  It is very refreshing with lemon juice and lime juice.  Here is the recipe for one cocktail:

–  2 tablespoons of lime juice

–  1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice

–  1/4 cup of simple syrup

–  2 ounces Irish whiskey

– 1 small drop of green food coloring

– lime wedges for a garnish

Irish Margarita

Are you a margarita lover?  Enjoy your favorite drink with a St Paddys twist with this Irish margarita from RestlessChipotle.  Here are the ingredients for one cocktail:

–  2 ounces of reposado tequila

–  1 ounce of blue curacao

–  1 ounce of peach schnapps

–  1/2 ounce of Irish whiskey

–  1/2 ounce of Aperol

–  1/2 ounce of lime juice

–  4-6 ounces of pineapple juice

–  1 lime slice for garnish

– Gold sugar crystals and corn syrup for rim (optional)

Midori Limonata

Thank you to Brit.co for these delicious recipe!  This cocktail is amazingly refreshing and delicious.  Here are the ingredients for one cocktail:

–  1 ounce of vodka

–  2 ounces of San Pellegrino Limonata

–  2 ounces of Midori

–  Club Soda

–  Ice

Avo-Margarita

Here is a cool take on a margarita – an avocado-margarita!  Another delicious cocktail from the Brit.co.  Here are the ingredients for one cocktail:

–  6 ounces of Don Julio Reposado Tequila

–  1 ounce of fresh lime juice

–  1 avocado, skin and pit removed

–  pinch of salt

– ice

– optional garnishes:  cilantro, chili lime salt, and lime wheel

Green Bloody Mary

I’m a big Bloody Mary lover, so this twist on that cocktail got me excited!  This recipe comes from HeatherChristo.com and here is the recipe for four cocktails:

–  4 cups of green tomatoes

–  2 teaspoons of red wine vinegar

–  2 tablespoons of parsley

–  1/2 cup of English Cucumber chunks

– 2 limes, juiced

–  2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce

–  1 jalapeno, quartered

–  2 teaspoons of horshradish

–  ice

–  8 ounces of vodka

–  salt to taste

– Optional garnishes:  4 romaine lettuce leaf hearts, 4 strips of crispy bacon, cherry tomatoes, and lemon wedges
